Within Paris-based international textile fair Premiere Vision (Sep. 20-22), the PV Awards 2011 were handed out. Aim of the initiative, this year reaching its third edition, was to honor the show's most creative weavers. The Grand Jury Prize was given to Euromaglia (Italy) for the season's most exceptional fabric. Toray Japan (Japan) received The Handle Prize for the fabric with the most astonishing tactile and behavioral qualities. The Innovation Prize was given to Federico Aspesi (Italy) for the most innovative, technological and creative fabric. Forster Willi (Switzerland) won The Imagination Prize for the most daring and most surprising fabric in terms of material, technique, decoration and finish.

The 2011 PV Awards Jury was headed by Roland Mouret, French designer being based in London for over 20 years, who is also known as the personal stylist of important Hollywood stars. Also part of the Jury were Francesco Bova, Fabric Research & Development Manager, Valentino (Italy); Brigitte Comazzi, Artistic Director/Fashion Consultant (France); Tony Delcampe, Head of La Cambre-mode (Belgium); Zhou Hong, Chief Designer, Dalian Sunfed Int'l (China); Celine Méteil, design winner of the Premiere Vision Prize in Hyères (France); Marie-Christine Rousseau, Purchasing Manager, Agnes B. (France), and Pascaline Wilhelm, Fashion Director, Premiere Vision.
