Porsche Design opened its first shop in Hong Kong’s Queen’s Road Central drawing crowds with three limited edition watches with proceeds going to the Hong Kong Suicide Prevention Service. The shop offers the entire Porsche Design product portfolio while highlighting the expanded apparel collection for men and women. Sustainability plays an important role in the new store concept; the latest innovations in LED, for example, allow for a 50% cut in energy consumption compared to older stores. CEO of Porsche Design Group Jürgen Geßler explained the brand’s introduction to the Asian market, saying that, “We were able to increase our turnover by 30% in the last business year. In order to support our growth we will continue our sales and product offensive – Hong Kong is just our first step into Asia”.
