Giovanni Peracin has been announced as the new Business Unit Director of Playlife, the Benetton group's heritage brand for leisure time. Peracin - whose appointment continues the reinforcement strategy of the group's internal structural organization - will be in charge of the brand's evolution and international development.

Giovanni Peracin graduated in Political Sciences at Padua University. The 41-year-old worked at VF Corporation where he was Sales and Marketing Director for Lee Jeans in Italy since 2009 and before that was responsible for Wrangler in Spain and Portugal. In the past, he also worked for fashion companies such as Levi Strauss & Co, Loewe (LVMH group) and Nordica/Benetton Sportsystem.

"I'm happy to have Giovanni Peracin on board," commented Alessandro Benetton, Executive Vice President of the Benetton group. “I'm sure that his international experience will help reinforcing significantly the team of a brand that is still young and full of potential - both in the Italian and international markets."

Peracin commented: "I'm proud to be part of the Playlife project: innovation and experimentation are part of the Group's key issues. Moreover, the experience of Benetton's historic brands such as Playlife, Jeans West, Killer Loop and Anthology of Cotton can help creating quite some different products for the market."
