Swedish brand Weekday is collaborating with Danish designer Peter Jensen. The new collection for both men and women will be available at all Weekday stores by mid-March. Jensen, who originally is from Løgstør, Denmark but based in London, is famous for his cool, understated and modern yet timeless fashion. For Weekday, he created an exclusive collection with nine pieces for women and eight pieces for men that are updated classics from his earlier works. Some garments even have details that come from an old photograph that shows the designer himself and his grandmother back from the ‘70s. Retail prices range from €30 for T-shirts to €100 for jackets. Weekday launched its new concept Weekday Collaborations in spring 2009. So far these collaborations have included designers such as Carin Wester, Nhu Duong, Minimarket, Ali Zedtwitz and Stine Goya. Weekday belongs to the Swedish group Fabric Scandinavien AB and currently has 11 stores in Sweden, Denmark and Germany, including its newest store in Cologne’s Ehrenstrasse which opened on Feb. 26.
