After the catastrophe of Fukushima, Tokyo has to deal with the aftermath. During times of devastations, the Japanese people impressed the world with their humanity, loyalty and calmness. Tokyo itself inspires the fashion industry for years with its diversity of the Japanese culture, originality, and their impressive talent setting up new trends. For all these reasons, US musician Pharrell Williams in cooperation with French footwear brand Palladium explored the Japanese metropolis with the result of a documentary called “Tokyo Rising” which is divided into five parts. The singer, producer and songwriter talks to local artists, for instance with Verbal, the co-founder of streetwear label Ambush Design and musician of the Teriyaki boys.

On his tour through Tokyo, the Palladium casual boots are Pharrell’s steady companions. He wears the style Baggy Leather Gusset from the brand new Waterproof Collection. The boots are made of lubricated nubuck leather with a water-resistant insole and welded seams. The line consists of five different styles which retail between €99 and €109. In “Tokyo Rising” the musician also wears the Baggy Leather S winter boots from the Pilot Collection. The shoes are made of aniline leather and thanks to their lambskin lining they guarantee warm feet in the cold season. The seven different styles of the collection also retail between €99 and €109.

Apart from his musical success, Pharrell also founded the fashion labels Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream and designed a limited jewelry and accessory line for Louis Vuitton. As a partner, he also supports the young textile company Bionic Yarn from New York that uses eco-friendly garments from recycled plastic bottles.
