The 17th edition of the European OutDoor trade show in Friedrichshafen, Germany will take place from Jul. 15-18, 2010. Changes this season to the organization of the halls are aimed at offering more of an overview and a better structure for visitors and exhibitors. For instance, the OutDoor Tent City will be set up for the first time in Rothaus Hall A1, while leading international brands will make their debuts in the two new exhibition halls, A7 and B5. "The optimized hall organization takes advantage of the recently completed eastward expansion project and guarantees a balanced exhibitor presence between the West Entrance and the East Entrance," said Messe Friedrichshafen CEO Klaus Wellmann. "This provides more area for booth spaces, yet strengthens OutDoor's reputation as the leading trade fair with conveniently short walking distances." Meanwhile, the newly built "Nord” access to the fair, approved for traffic in December 2009, will allow visitors better arrival and departure access to/from Ulm/Ravensburg and offer direct access to the new Ost 1 and 2 parking areas and the Ost entrance. Exhibitors in the two new halls A7 and B5 will include brands such as Salomon, Haglöfs, Columbia, The North Face, Lafuma, Marmot and Bergans of Norway. Reporting a 3% increase in registration from 36 countries, OutDoor has so far achieved record demand for exhibitor space compared to the same time last year. "After a break from exhibiting at fairs last year, the US manufacturer The North Face is returning to our fair on Lake Constance,” said OutDoor project manager Stefan Reisinger. "This means that all the industry leaders have committed to attending OutDoor 2010.”
