Spanish brand Nice Things has just inaugurated its first boutique in Paris, inside the So Ouest shopping centre. This is the tenth Nice Things store to open in France after previous openings in Angers, Bordeaux, Grenoble, Issy-les-Moulineaux, Nantes, Narbonne, Paris, Toulouse and two stores in Lyon.

The Catalonian firm, created in 1995 by Paloma Santaolalla and Miguel Lanna, is constantly growing through different channels of distribution such as own-stores, franchises, multi-brand spots and e-commerce. It is sold both in Spain (35% of their revenues) and internationally (65%, of which the majority comes from France).
Presently they sell through 22 own-stores in Spain and one in France (where they want to open three more soon in addition to the recently opened one in Paris), 28 mono-brand ones in franchising (9 in France, 8 in Portugal and 1 in Andorra) as well as through 1,500 multibrand stores worldwide. The brand is also sold through department stores such as El Corte Inglés in Spain, Fenwick in the UK, Hondos in Greece and La Rinascente in Italy for their kids line Nice Things Mini.

All Nice Things stores have the same relaxed, cosy and friendly atmosphere, as if one were at Paloma Santaolalla’s home. Each boutique hosts a “Wall of Memories” displaying a spread of objects the designer and founder has accumulated over the years while conveying a more personal view on fashion, store decor and the shopping experience. Among the objects presented inside the store are; boxes, dolls, and pictures of Paloma and her family when she was younger. All “nice things” - consistent with the brand’s name. Unique lamps made from teapots and antique porcelain dishes complete the store’s image.

Nice Things offers casual and relaxed apparel for women and girls. The brand includes a total look of 300 apparel pieces for women and 100 for girls subdivided according to about four main themes.
