Debuting in August 2013, a new alliance of apparel fairs will change the current face of the Las Vegas landscape of sportswear shows.

Modern Assembly is the name of the strategic alliance that houses not only the established concepts of Capsule, AccessoriesTheShow, MRket and Stitch, but also the Las Vegas premiere of Agenda (the Los Angeles-based show centered on action sports and streetwear) and the new trade show Liberty under one roof. The shows will present A/W 2013 collections from more than 2,500 brands at the Venetian and Sands Expo in a newly developed, streamlined format.

Via co-locating and cross-marketing, it is Modern Assembly’s declared aim “to present a strategic, unified and global approach to promoting Las Vegas as a major fashion destination and to elevate the experience for all participants.” It was declared that the alliance is not closed but open to adding other tradeshows that share a similar philosophy to the show mix.

The new concept Liberty Fairs is a brainchild of Sam Ben-Avraham, founder of the Project shows. At ist debut in August 2013, it shall showcase round about 250 menswear and dual brands.

“I realized that it was time for significant change; time for a truly “ad-hoc” industry

event; a trade event that would play host to the brands and retailers that have pushed the industry forward, through innovation, through their interpretation of the “traditional” and through community”, said Ben-Avraham. His new show will be entirely “paperless”, cooperating with of Nuorder, an online wholesale solution for the fashion industry. The Liberty website is currently in development and will go live by end-February. Online visitor registration/brand application will be available as well at this time.

For Modern Assembly, Ben-Avraham cooperates with Capsule, Agenda and the BJI Fashion Group, responsible for AccessoriesTheShow (women’s accessories), MRket (classic to contemporary menswear) and Stitch (better to contemporary women’s Ready-to-Wear).

All co-founders expressed their embracement for the new cooperation.

“The BJI Fashion Group is thrilled and honored to be a part of this new alliance,” says Britton Jones, President and CEO of Business Journals Inc. “For far too long, the fashion markets in Las Vegas have not lived up to their real potential because they have been so splintered. Buyers have spent too much time rushing to try to reach all of the resources they want to shop and exhibitors have been frustrated by buyers being so pressed for time. Now buyers can shop the best of each season without leaving the Venetian.”
