Hosted at Hong Kong’s Asia World Expo with satellite events in downtown venues, the inaugural August 2013 edition of The HUB will focus on the young designer, denim, streetwear, lifestyle clothing and accessories sectors.

The new trade show is set up by Entrepot Asia, a consultancy for foreign fashion brands who want to launch and expand in Asia. Richards Hobbs, event director at Entrepot Asia and – together with Peter Caplowe (who once led Japanese denim label Evisu to a premium global jeans brand) – the responsible organizer of the Hub, explained:  “Every international fashion brand has its commercial sights set on  Asia because, put simply, Asia is the most lucrative new market on the planet. Now, with the launch of The HUB we are bringing together the most exciting fashion brands from Europe and the United States with the crème de la crème of Asia’s fashion retailers and distributors in an environment designed for forging the partnerships necessary for regional success.”

With a rigorous accreditation process and invitation-only approach, the organizers want to guarantee that only the most senior buyers and key decision makers from mono-brand and multi-brand retailers will attend the show.
Moreover, visitors can benefit from a comprehensive schedule of accompanying trend presentations and business seminars on retail, marketing tactics or logistics held by international retailers and consultants.

The first edition of The HUB will take place during the last week of August 2013. Brands can apply to exhibit in the categories Indigo, Heritage, Street, Active, Classic, Directional and Boutique Luxury.
