Effective May 1st 2013, Laurence Joslin is the new Marketing Director of the New Era Cap Company Inc. for Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Joslin will lead all strategic marketing measures in the respective regions and will report to New Era’s Vice President EMEA, Paul Gils, based in the European headquarters in Wescott, UK.

Joslin will aim at pushing New Era’s brand awareness by developing all communication channels, PR, retail and digital media. Paul Gils: “We are happy to welcome Laurence to our EMEA management team. His competence will help us to communicate a uniform brand message in all aspects of marketing.”

New Era’s new Marketing Director has already collected much experience in brand management and consumer marketing during the past 22 years. Most recently the Englishman has worked for 10 years in the Nike Europe headquarters in Amsterdam, where he held positions in the fields of actions sports and running and was announced Marketing Director for Nike’s retail business and intermediately Business Director Football for north and central Europe. In his positions, he has led various projects such as the launch of the Olympia champagne 2012 in the European Nike stores or the launch of Nike+ and Nike Skateboard in Europe.
