Held a few days later than the other New York menswear trade shows this season because of a space scheduling conflict, the MRket NY show returns to the Javits Center today for the second day of its three-day run.

With more than 325 brands, the show, which consists mostly of more traditional men’s collections, is taking place at the complex’s North Concourse today from 9am to 6pm and tomorrow from 9am to 4pm.

The show theme for the f/w 2014 season is Alpine MRket, which is reflected in the Macko’s MRket Picks display area produced and curated by Michael Macko. Other show areas include the Made in Italy section, the UK Design section and one devoted to Modern Prep brands. The latter debuted last season.

MRket’s Vanguards area has more than 30 new and emerging brands this time.
The more casual sportswear exhibitors at MRket include Barbour, Bill’s Khakis, Café Bleu, Southern Tide and Vineyard Vines.

“MRket NY is the home of classic to contemporary luxury menswear. Retailers should look forward to a diverse mix of better menswear companies with a large representation of brands from Italy, the UK, Northern Europe, Canada and the US,” says MRket show director Lizette Chin.

The show is produced by BJI Fashion Group.
