Kingpins, the invitation-only show that spotlights denim and fabric mills, wash houses, full package manufacturers, trim providers and business solutions for the denim and denim-related sector, will mark its tenth anniversary in the city of its birth, New York, with a two-day run starting tomorrow.
Held for the first time at The Tunnel, at 269 11th Ave, this edition will have about 50 exhibitors, including such well-known names as Invista, Candiani, Cone Denim, Kurabo and Tavex.
Three seminars will also take place during the show. The first, at 2pm tomorrow, is co-hosted by Candiani and Cone Mills, and will explore how the concept of “premium denim” has evolved over the years. Stylesight’s senior trend specialist, Jamie Thomas, will cover the key denim trends and design developments for the s/s 2015 season at 11am on Wednesday. The final seminar, at 1:30pm on Wednesday, will explore the collaboration of fiber companies Invista and Lenzig to fuse stretch and recovery with softness.
The show’s official afterparty takes place tomorrow night from 6 to 11 at The Tunnel’s 12th Ave entrance at 222 12th Ave.
Kingpins is open from 10am to 6pm on Tuesday and 10am to 5pm on Wednesday.
