German young fashion retailer New Yorker is carrying on its international expansion and will open its first store in Montenegro on May 27. The store, which is located in the shopping center, Delta City Montenegro, in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, will have a sales floor of 600 sq. meters.

After entering the Italian and Portuguese markets last year, and with its launch in Montenegro, New Yorker will have stores in 28 countries. The company’s goal is to be represented in 30 countries by the end of the year, with planned locations in Luxembourg and Macedonia.

With 777 points-of sale at the moment, New Yorker ended FY 2009 with a turnover of $1.6bn. For 2010, the company expects a turnover of $1.7bn and over 850 stores by the end of the year.
