Cotton Incorporated ( along with streetwear brand Triple Five Soul ( unveiled MuSe, the latest featured line for the Ludlow Residency project, at the Triple Five Soul store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Wednesday, June 16.

MuSe designers and best friends Sun Bae and Michele Nguyen unleashed their “Melpomene” (a.k.a. Music Tragedy) a/w 2005-06 collection to an eclectic mix of hipsters and scenesters at the event. Sun-kissed models were adorned in MuSe’s bohemian chic-inspired dresses and skirts paired with waist-hugging belts (pictured). The collection also featured the “it” palette for fall: various shades of brown.

The duo, who were handpicked for their current residency by Triple Five Soul’s global brand director, Ben Velez, after he encountered them in a chance meeting, has been designing clothes for years, at first for family and friends.

At the event they told SPORTSWEAR INTERNATIONAL that “music, of course, literature, urban culture, vintage and everything bohemian” inspire their body-hugging and feminine-yet-edgy sleek clothes.

The ongoing, continually revolving Ludlow Residency project is a quarterly exhibition designed to embrace and showcase the talents of young, edgy, emerging designers and brands by featuring their clothes at the Triple Five Soul store in Brooklyn.

The MuSe Melpomene collection will be sold exclusively at the store.
