Dutch trade show Modefabriek has moved its January show dates forward. The new dates are now Saturday and Sunday, January 29 - 30, 2005. The decision was made due to the preparation of AutoRai, Holland’s largest motor show, and the fact that there is no alternative location that fulfills the strict requirements of the Modefabriek show. While AutoRai runs from February 10-20, preparations for the show will begin on January 31.

The floor plan of the up-coming Modefabriek is undergoing an exciting transformation. The Europahal will be divided into four recognizable segments: jeans, luxury, women's/men and lingerie. In order to strengthen this idea, different materials and colours will be used which complement the look of the various labels. Additionally, every segment will have its own food and drink area, where well thought out, stylish snacks and beverages will be served. Expect feminine salads, exciting finger food, macho soups and exquisite tidbits, just to name a few.

Frans Ankoné, founder of Avenue, has developed plans to build a house with a terrace right onto the fair floor. This will be a house with lots of surprises where the press will be received and where visitors will also be welcome to come and have a look. The kitchen will be the central point and a famous cook will be present daily to show-off his art (and of course to have it tasted!)

Lingerie is, more than ever, playing a role in fashion and street wear and this is reason enough for Modefabriek to allow for a bit of a naughty fashion show this year. A traditional peep show will be the background for labels like Vive Maria, Pussy Deluxe, Björn Borg and Playboy to show their collections on an enormous turntable. But there is so much to experience within the other segments of the fair floor too. Studio Commandeur, the famous trend watching agency specializing in fabrics, colours and fashion, will provide the Europahal with a number of attention-grabbing trend predictions.

True to tradition, a party will be organized for the exhibitors and visitors after the closing drinks on Saturday. The 'Moving Grooves' DJ's will provide the party atmosphere.
