Mustang and Sansibar have signed a new license agreement for a jeans collection that will be launched for spring/summer 2014.

“I really admire and respect the entrepreneurial skills of Herbert Seckler,” explained Dietmar Axt, CEO of Mustang, about Sansibar’s founder. “His tireless pursuit of perfection he has successfully transferred to his team. On that base he transformed his small kiosk into a famous restaurant within Germany. These were the foundation and the necessary conditions to develop the name Sansibar into an important brand in Germany. Sansibar today represents a unique success story–in the culinary sense as well as in business.”

In addition to its restaurant Sansibar operates nine eponymous stores in Germany. Their assortment includes wine, confectionaries delicacies, books and selected fashion such as shirts, polo shirts, jackets, bags and accessories. With the new collaboration Sansibar will enlarge its range with jeanswear.

“Sansibar Denim has long been a dream of mine,” said Seckler. “The team of traditional jeans company Mustang has convinced me with its convenient design and denim expertise.”
