Swedish fashion label Monki are set to open four new stores in Russia throughout winter and early spring 2014.

“This is an exciting opportunity for Monki, and a great way for us to continue to grow,” says chief operating officer, Lea Rytz Goldman. “We look forward to sharing our eclectic fashion and our imaginative concept with our new Russian customers.”

The stores will be at Moscow’s Goodzone mall (KashirskoeShosse 12), the Aura mall in Yaroslav (Svobody Street 46A), the Planeta mall in Ufa (SalavatUylaeva Street) and the Ambar mall in Samara (on YuzhnoeShosse). The new stores will carry the Monki 3.0 “Sea of Scallops” concept, whereby the customer has the impression they are under the sea. The store design includes large shimmering water-lily lamps and walls made of scales.

Monki create playful, colourful and on-trend fashion. Designs range from casual cool basics to edgy cool extras.

“The design team and I are eager to introduce what we do to our Russian customers,” says Sofia Wallin, design and buying manager. “Monki’s all about self-expression, so to us, there’s nothing more inspiring than seeing how new friends choose to express themselves with our fashion!”
