Denim brand Mavi has begun operations at its new logistics center spread across 4,500 square meters of space in Obertshausen, near Frankfurt am Main. Mavi supplies between 5,000 and 7,000 articles a day to European wholesale clients in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Czech Republic and Slovakia as well as to ten of its own retail stores in Germany.

“The new logistics center enables us to reorganize our logistic structures. In future we will be able to manage our processes in a faster and more efficient way. Our goal is to ship out NOS goods ordered by 12 noon on the same day”, said Dr. Ermin Cezairli, CEO of Mavi Europe AG.

Headed by supply chain manager Olaf Hähnel, the  16 staff members on the warehouse team recently relocated to Obertshausen from their previous logistics center in Dietzenbach . The supply chain department, materials planning and customer service also moved to the new center so that supply chain management can be managed from a central location. The new site benefits from good local traffic infrastructure as well as its proximity to the European Mavi headquarters in Heusenstamm.

Mavi was founded in 1991 in Instanbul and represents the first Turkish brand with a global name. Today Mavi is one of the leading denim brands in Europe and distributes and markets its products in  about 50 countries worldwide. The brand is well-know for its good price/performance ratio and individual fits.
