Privalia, Spanish online fashion sales company leader, has announced Manel Adell will enter its board of directors as new independent counsellor to the company.
Adell’s joining Privalia’s board of directors is consistent with the company’s intention to focus on fashion retail and give a more profitable push to the company’s growth.
Adell was attracted to the project because: “Privalia is an innovative digital and young fashion company with a high potential to become one of the major fashion and lifestyle online retailers worldwide,” commented the manager.
Manel Adell was born in 1961, graduated at ESADE (Barcelona), granted an MBA at IMD (Lousanne) and is a former student of Stanford University (California).
Adell has significant experience in the fashion, design and lifestyle sectors. He has worked for ten years for Desigual as shareholder and CEO. In the past he worked for Agrolimen and Cadbury-Schweppes, and was Director of International Expansion in Bang & Olufsen as well as co-founder for Starlab.  He is now part of the board of directors of Puig and of the Danish company Tiger.
