In conjunction with the launch of a new capsule collection called Monki Cool Jeans, the Swedish girlswear label Monki held a customizing workshop in Hamburg last Saturday. Over 100 girls and boys joined the three-hour seminar and worked on garments provided from past collections or their own wardrobes. Participants cut, sewed, appliquéd and worked with a variety of materials — buttons, patches and even little bells were used to create unique designs. Sixteen bloggers, photographers and stylists later styled the designs to showcase at a vernissage combined with the launch of the latest Monki Cool Jeans collection for S/S 2010. The collection comprises 10 styles varying in color, pattern and print available exclusively at Monki stores. Retail prices range between €30 and €40 for shorts and jeans, €50 for denim jackets and €25 for T-shirts.
