Turkish denim brand Mavi has appointed a new Marketing & Communications Manager for Europe. As of now, Manuel Gomez will take care of the divisions PR, events, CRM and trade and consumer marketing from Mavi’s European headquarters in Dietzenbach, near Frankfurt/Main.

The 28-year-old, who studied Fashion Design and Marketing in Barcelona before founding his own creative agency and giving guest lectures in several Spanish universities, most previously has been working for fashion label Desigual. In his position as International Communications Manager and later Marketing Manager North America, Gomez realized some major campaigns and store openings and contributed significantly to the success of the Spanish brand which has decupled its turnover in the past five years.

In his new position at Mavi, Gomez is going to design a global marketing strategy for the Turkish brand. “I am looking forward to new challenges. I will contribute to the fact that Mavi will further grow in Europe,” Gomez said. “It is very important to me that the brand stays true to its roots and that we will highlight its identity even stronger.”
