Spanish retail chain Mango carries on expansion and in 2011 is focusing on the key markets China and Russia. In Asia, Mango pursues a determined expansion strategy and is present in various countries such as China, Korea, the Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam. With China being Mango’s most important Asian market, the brand has opened three new corners on Dec.15. So far, Mango has 121 POS in China, but just in the first quarter of 2011, the company plans to open 26 further POS.

Russia is another target fro Mango. On Dec. 15, the company opened new shops in Saratow and Moskau. Right now, Mango has 72 POS in Russia, of which 62 are franchise stores and ten are self-operated stores. Ten further POS are to open in cities such as Sankt Petersburg and Nowosibirsk

Mango has 1,700 shops in 101 countries. In 2009, the company has further expanded in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, and entered several new markets like Iran, Iraq, Belarus, and Guatemala.
