At the beginning of this year Gerhard Maier handed over the Business Management of Maier Sports Group, along with its brands Maier Sports, Gonso and Rono, to Sascha Kautschitsch, Simone Mayer and Lothar Baisch. Now after 10 months, Sascha Kautschitsch retires as the operating management and will focus on accompanying the business in expansion and brand development at home and abroad.
Kautschitsch about his decision: "Fully concentrating on my strengths and the detachment from day-to-day business will give us the necessary stimuli for the future.”

As of now, Simone Mayer is taking over the management of the Maier Sports Group for the fields of product and logistics and Lothar Baisch for the sales and marketing area.

For the 2013, Maier Sports Group aims to target tangible growth and expansion to new markets. Online and TV campaigns will be an important step for the repositioning of the brand in its home market. In addition, expansion in Eastern Europe and Asia will also be addressed.
