The US finalists led this year's International Woolmark Prize (IWP). After Public School from New York won the Men's Prize, now Marcia Patmos, also from New York, won the women's version which was awarded last Monday (March 17, 2015) in Beijing.

The jury was among others composed of designer and style icon Victoria Beckham, editor-in-chief of Chinese Vogue Angelica Cheung and fashion journalist Colin McDowell.
“The collection was very demanding and created with merino wool clothing that is sophisticated but also has a young spirit,” says McDowell.

After a looking for a winner in 21 countries and among 60 designers, M. Patmos surpassed Augustin Teboul from Germany, V Major from China, Strateas.Carlucci from Australia and Bird on a Wire from Lebanon in the final assessment round.

Just like the Men’s Prize winner Public School, M. Patmos will receive 100,000 AUD and the opportunity to be stocked in very important retailers all around the world like Saks Fifth Avenue, 10 Corso Cosmo, Harvey Nichols, Joyce, Isetan Mitsukoshi, David Jones and
The collection will be available at the mentioned retailers from August 2015.
