The Scottish-founded fashion brand Lyle&Scott is going to release a collection with the young London label Universal Works for FW’14-15. The collection includes eleven products, entirely manufactured in Scotland. Among the pieces are knitwear with the Royal Warrant, classic polo shirts, flannel shirts with knit collar and wool accessories. The deconstructed Lyle & Scott 80s snowflakes-motive is a recurrent element throughout the apparel line.

Universal Works was founded in 2008 by David Keyte, who previously gained large experience within the fashion industry, having worked for brands such as Paul Smith and Maharishi. The label runs two stores in London.

Lyle & Scott is a long-established label, which has been collaborating with fashion personalities like Christian Dior and Bergdorf Goodman, besides equipping professional golf players since the 60s. In addition, the brand enjoyed a growing popularity thanks to the British young subculture movement.
