Denim brand Lee has teamed up with four guest designers to reinterpret some of the label’s most popular fits and finishes on the occasion of Lee’s 125 anniversary. The men and women collection will be officially presented at the Scoop International womenswear fashion show in London (13-15 July, 2014).

Guest designers for this celebratory collection are Donwan Harrell (creative director of Prps), Emma François (Sessùn), Örjan Anderson and Filles à Papa designers Gregory Derkenne, Sarah and Carol Piron. Each of them contributes to Lee’s wares in a different way. While Donwan Harrell adds visual washes to the men’s line and reworks Lee’s signature rigid denim, Örjan Anderson works on clean, pared-down washes and subtle abrasions. Emma François uses embroidery and cognac tonal stitching to recreate her personal feminine style. Finally, the designers of Filles à Papa explore the limits between masculine and feminine through sequined watch pockets, tuxedo stripes and full sparkling leg panels over crisp washes graduating to extreme rock ’n roll rips features.

The pieces by the guest designers will be distributed together with the saisonal Lee collection and not feature any irregular branding or price point.

The Lee Jeans brand is an affiliate of the VF Corporation, which has names such as Vans, Kipling, Eastpak and Wrangler within its portfolio.
