Venice-based Lotto has announced plans to expand globally with new monobrand stores in 2009. The performance sports apparel and footwear brand is aiming to open 25 more shops in Italy and 50 more across the globe. As a first step, it inaugurated a 150-sq.-meter flagship store on Corso Buenos Aires in Milan on Dec. 11. All the stores are expected to feature high-tech Italian design in black, red and white. Lotto already operates 35 shops in Italy and 300 globally.
