Portuguese textile group, TMG, and surf industry veteran, Jonathan Paskowitz, have teamed up to re-launch the surf and skate Lightning Bolt brand in the US.

Beginning this June, the men’s and women’s apparel will be distributed at select high-end and core retailers. The collection offers a range of high-quality graphic tees, wovens, walk shorts, board shorts, denim and other accessories ranging from $31 to $250. It is also said to include fashion-forward colors, original graphics, beautiful stitching and dynamic detailing.

Lightning Bolt was originally founded in Hawaii in 1972 by Gerry Lopez and Jack Shipley as a board shaping and manufacturing company.

Says Paskowitz, President of Lightning Bolt USA: “We believe that some soul of the product within the industry has been lost. We plan to unite the quality of product originally made ‘by surfers for surfers’ to society’s fashion sensibility to restore the essence of the product and evoke passion in consumers.
