British denim brand Lee Cooper (, “The Original Fine English Denim Company,” has a new CEO.

Stefaan Le Clair, a Belgian national, began his job as Group CEO last Monday. Le Clair’s previous roles include WE Europe, Vice President Etam China, Chief Buying Officer at Interiors for Europe, Director at Etam Group Netherlands and Retail Manager Europe for Esprit International.

Morris Cooper founded the Lee Cooper brand in 1908. The company is a designer, distributor, and marketer of branded jeans, clothing, accessories and shoes. It is the third leading brand of jeans in France and in the UK and the second leading brand in Belgium. Through its extensive licensing network, it has operations in more than 70 countries.
