The mood was one of resilient optimism in the face of the economic downturn at Kingpins’ denim fair in Hong Kong recently. A range of exhibitors and visitors from international locales gathered to display and source products and trends hot off the mill in the textile epicenter of the world. With the hip W Hotel as the show venue, patrons were treated to a delightful range of catering options and state-of-the-art facilities to make navigating one's way round the fair much easier and far more comfortable than at most trade shows. Attendee Nyall Wu told Sportswear International: "This is by far one of the best-organized trade shows I've seen in Asia. Everything went smoothly and there were more exhibitors than last time." Organizers said they were "pleased with the number of visitors as last year’s numbers were down, but this year everyone seems to be looking toward economic recovery."
