The exclusive “Blackboard Pack” collection came about through the cooperation between basketball brand K1X and graphic designer Bill McMullen. The collection consists of five pieces: a college jacket, a hoody, a crew neck sweater, a crew neck t-shirt and a 59/50 New Era cap. Each style is hallmarked with the signature of McMullen and the “BMM x K1X” woven patch.

Bill McMullen: “The ‘blackboard’ is half black power fist – half basketball backboard. It's a critical reference to the correlation between the African American struggles for socio-political equality and occupational career possibilities on one hand and today's basketball culture on the other.”

The collection is on sale from early April at selected retailers such as Collete, Paris and Sneakers ‘n’ Stuff, Stockholm.

McMullen is a graphic designer, illustrator and artist who relocated from San Diego to New York City in 1996. He has designed packaging, DVD’s and promotional videos for many artists including the Beastie Boys, N.E.R.D, DMX and Method Man.
