Jones Apparel Group Inc. has inked a deal with Kmart Stores to exclusively sell its contemporary junior line, GLO jeans, beginning this January.

GLO is described as a hip new lifestyle jeanswear brand that is targeted towards junior consumers aged 13-19 and beyond. The range sold at Kmart stores will include denim and non-denim bottoms, knit tops, woven tops and dresses.

Prices for GLO denim items will range from $19.98 to $22.98 for basic denim, $26.99 to $29.99 for fashion denim, $19.99 to $21.99 for spring cropped pants, $9.99 to $16.99 for tops, $17.99 to $19.99 for shorts and $16.99 to $24.99 for handbags.

Jones Apparel added that it will launch the handbag line for the brand at the same time as the collection is made available through a licensing deal, and that GLO plans to license other categories.

"We view GLO jeans as an important brand that has tremendous potential to reach the fashion savvy Kmart junior consumer who shops with quality and value in mind. We look forward to working with Kmart to realize the full capability of this brand," said Jack Gross, CEO of Jones Jeanswear Group.

The launch will be supported by a national advertising campaign set to appear in select magazine, online and social networking initiatives, and in-store/POS visuals.
