Joe’s Jeans has launched an international online model competition called “Joe’s Next Model.”

The aim is to find one male and one female model to star in the brand’s worldwide ad campaign.

The three-month competition, through Jul. 15, invites contestants to submit at a short video based on a variety of themes from “What’s my Joe’s Fit?” to “Why I should be the next Joe’s model.”

Subsequently, contestants will be able to develop a personal profile and encourage others to vote for them. Fans can then log on to the site to vote for their favorite models.

Industry veterans Mary Filar, West Coast Merchandising and Promotions Director for Marie Claire; Nicole Bordeaux, Founder and Owner of Photo[genics, a full-service management and production office that represents fashion models, young actresses, make-up artists, hair and wardrobe stylists and set designers; and Joe Dahan, Founder and Creative Director of Joe’s, will help narrow the competition to five men and women who will be flown to Los Angeles for a private casting. The winner will be announced on Aug. 12. is the result of a collaboration with FameCast, which delivers customized sites that combine user-generated video, fan participation, viral marketing and social media to create high-energy, artistic marketing campaigns.

Other online developments for Joe’s Jeans include a new e-shop featuring all its collections and interactive tools ranging from blogs highlighting the latest celebrity sightings to a lookbook and Joe's Jeans TV featuring fashion video footage.
