The winner of the Designer for Tomorrow Award 2013 was announced last week during Berlin Fashion Week 2013.

Ioana Ciolacu Miron (London College of Fashion, UK) convinced the competition’s jury and its patron Stella McCartney with her collection “Paradox”. She prevailed against her four competitors Katy Clark (Northumbria University, UK), Hannah Kuklinski (HS Hannover, Germany), Annalena Skörl Maul (HAW Hamburg, Germany) and Jamie Wei Huang (Central St. Martins College of Art & Design, UK).

Over 700 guests celebrated the award ceremony at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin Show Tent. Among them were Mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit, Nadine Warmuth, Fritzi Haberlandt, Peri Baumeister, Sönke Möhring, Christoph Metzelder and Hanneli Mustaparta.

The Peek & Cloppenburg KG, Düsseldorf has been hosting the DfT award since 2009. American designer Marc Jacobs was previously the patron to the award.
