Pull&Bear, Inditex’s brand for men’s and women’s young fashion has inaugurated its first shop staffed with people with different kinds of physical or intellectual disabilities in Ferrol, Galicia (Spain). Managed by COGAMI –Spanish acronym for the Galician Confederation of Persons with Disabilities– through its job center Integratex, the retail outlet will sell items from former seasons at discounted prices under a franchise regime.
Pull&Bear is the latest brand of the Spanish retail giant Inditex to join the ‘for&from’ program with the opening in Ferrol. ‘For&from’ was born in 2002 as the group’s platform for the workplace integration of people with disabilities. Since then, the platform employs 90 disabled people across 11 existing stores operated by various brands: Massimo Dutti (4); Bershka; Tempe –Inditex’s shoe division taking care of footwear for all group brands– (3); Oysho; Stradivarius and the new Pull&Bear retail location.
All ‘for&from’ stores are located in cities nearby Inditex’s main offices in Spain –Arteixo in Galicia and Tordera in Catalunya–, due to the necessary proximity to the local and regional charitable organizations managing the group’s outlets. In 2015, the platform registered a turnover of €5.3 million and a net profit of over €470,000, which has been completely reinvested in the projects run by the network’s partner charities.
