Iliquid (Stock trouble solutions) is a B2B-platform, where manufacturers can offer their stock-overhang at a discount. Iliquid focuses on timely solutions for goods from the current season, but old goods, accordingly marked, will be offered as well.

The brand itself will decide, which retailers are allowed to order; the platform itself does not make a choice on retailers or brands, in order to offer a wide range for different customers. Retailers can use the platform for free, but brands have to pay a basic commission of 10%.

The entire homepage will be opened by 19th of April. At the moment only the part for subscription for retailer and manufacturer is opened. The domain is first confined to Germany. But a “.eu” domain is already blocked, for development in “neighbour countries”.

Behind the start-up is Virgile Bourgueil, 42, who has most recently worked as central buyer at Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf. Bourgueil has been planning this new business since autumn 2012. At the beginning of 2013 he founded Iliquid with business partner Christoph Nöcker, 49.
