The Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters’ Association (ITKIB) is launching a new fashion fair called Collection Premiere Istanbul (CPI) in collaboration with Dusseldorf-based Igedo Company this summer. Running parallel to Istanbul Fashion Week, the trade show will host 300 international brands as well as companies in Turkey’s growing fashion market.

ITKIB will be responsible for the show’s organization, marketing and exhibitor acquisition, while its German partner will be in charge of international distribution and communication, relying on its longstanding experience with trade shows in Dusseldorf (CPD) and Moscow (CPM).

“CPI will become the most important fashion fair in this area,” said Hikmet Tanriverdi, President of ITKIB.

Subsequently, the fair will aim to cover the demands of professionals in Turkey not least because exports of clothing and textiles account for a quarter of the country’s total exports.

Said Mirjam Dietz, Executive Fashion Director of Igedo Company concluded: “The market and the project are both very exciting. The interest is stunning.”

The final location and date of CPI will be announced at a later date.
