UK fashion trade show organiser ITE Moda Ltd and The HUB (Hong Kong Ltd) have announced details of a new joint venture for the future development of fashion trade show The HUB, whose launch event took place at AsiaWorld Expo, Hong Kong in August this year.

The HUB debut event featured over 100 international labels and attracting buyers from China, Korea and Taiwan, as well as a raft of other growth markets in the region. Exhibitors at the launch event included established names such as John Smedley, tailoring and lifestyle menswear brand Chester Barrie, Henri Lloyd, denim brand Desigual and sports and lifestyle label Adidas-Y3, as well as many up and coming directional labels from around the world.

ITE Moda has acquired a 20 per cent share in the event, and will work alongside co-founders Peter Caplowe and Richard Hobbs to establish The HUB as a key date on the international premium fashion calendar, and the number one platform for brands wanting to develop their business in Hong Kong, China and the surrounding regions.

“Asia is the world’s biggest growth story right now, and Asian retailers have never been keener to find out about international fashion brands,” says The HUB co-founder Peter Caplowe. “Bringing our knowledge of the branded fashion market within the region together with the industry knowledge and show expertise of ITE Moda means we’ll be able to create the best possible platform for brands wanting to do business in the region.”

Managing Director Colette Tebbutt, who will be managing ITE Moda’s interest in the venture said, “This latest investment highlights further our commitment to ensuring future expansion for forward-thinking fashion brands. Premium fashion is currently one of the fastest growing areas of the global women’s and menswear markets and we look forward to working with those brands who are positioning themselves to take full advantage of this dynamic sector.

The next edition of The HUB will take place 25-27 February 2014.
