Global sport, entertainment and media company IMG has partnered with the International Herald Tribune for its upcoming annual luxury conference in Berlin entitled “Techno Luxury.” Hosted by the Tribune’s own Suzy Menkes, the two-day conference beginning tomorrow at the Ritz Carlton will include guest speakers such as Christopher Bailey, Tomas Maier, Frida Giannini, Claus-Dietrich Lahrs and Richemont’s Alain Dominique Perrin. In addition to producing the event, IMG is also sponsoring "Techno Luxury" and will host the gala dinner attended by all speakers and delegates from over 30 countries. Of what is expected to be an ongoing collaboration between the two media companies, Brenda Erdmann Hagerty, IHT Conference Director, said: “It’s fantastic to have IMG on board. They bring a wealth of experience and technological know-how which will greatly enhance the Techno Luxury conference and we are very much looking forward to working with them on future events.” Peter Levy, SVP and Managing Director of IMG Fashion Worldwide, added: “The IHT and IMG have complementary positions within the fashion and luxury sector. The IHT luxury conference is the perfect place for business insiders to network and learn from each other.”
