Danish sports brand hummel and London-based shoe company Swear (swear-london.com) will launch a sneaker line next summer.

Six styles will be based on hummel’s team handball (not to be mistaken with one-on-one handball) classics and Swear’s signature pointed-toe design. In addition to the former’s chevrons, a stylish bumblebee will be embossed on the products. The shoes are available in solid black, white, red, navy and gray or in color blocks with metallic detailing in gold, silver or light blue. Price tags will range between €100 and €150.

The collaboration with a British brand is another step into the fashion market by the time-honored Danish team handball sport shoe label. Hummel made news in previous years with its Tibet campaign and is now seeking to reinforce its position outside the sporting apparel market by expanding its storebase internationally, growing its inventory and bringing out collections more frequently.
