Swedish fashion retailer H&M celebrated the reopening of its flagship store on Stockholm’s Hamngatan 22 with a large party on August 22. Among the 700 invited guests were national and international fashion journalists, stylists, models and celebrities such as singer Anders ”Moneybrother” Wendin, Eurovision Song Contest winner Loreen, jewelry designer Efva Attling and the band Icona Pop.

The fashionable crowd cavorted on the red carpet in front of the 3,700 sqm store and enjoyed musical entertainment by Swedish singer Veronica Maggio and DJ duo Rebecca & Fiona. Throughout the evening, guests had the chance to shop H&M’s latest fashion highlights and discover the renovated space. The store, which also celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, now features a new storefront and a completely redesigned interior on three floors.

Pär Johansson, H&M’s Country Manager for Sweden, said, “It was a fantastic night and we are glad that so many people came to celebrate our new flagship store with us. We’re very proud of the renovation results and we hope that our customers will appreciate the strengthened service in a new and inviting store environment.”

The rebuilt flagship opened its doors to the public today, August 24, at 11’o’clock. The location will be one of many worldwide that welcomes H&M’s much anticipated autumn designer collaborations with Anna Dello Russo and Maison Martin Margiela.
