From 18-21 January, 2016, the 47th edition of the Hong Kong Fashion Week will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), organizer of the fashion event, expects 1,500 exhibitors from around the world to present their collections at the trade show.
With the fall/winter edition a couple of things will change. The previously simultaneously held World Boutique, Hong Kong, will now take place from 7-10 September, 2016, and go by the new name Centrestage.
The Hong Kong Fashion Week for fall/winter will present over ten themed areas on an exhibition space of 30,000 square meters. Recently added areas include “Knitwear” and “Women’s Wear”, due to popular demand of winter clothing and women’s wear in Asia.
Further areas include “Activewear & Swim Wear”, “Cashmere & Wool” as well as “Fabrics & Yarn”.
More than ten fashion shows and presentations will once again constitute a platform for upcoming designers as well as brands to present their collections.
Furthermore, the HKTDC will hold a series of seminars and forums during the Fashion Week, with experts sharing their views and analysing market intelligence, while renowned fashion advisory institutions WGSN and Fashion Snoops will also offer forecasts and analyses of the major trends for the 2017 Spring/Summer season.
