The Italian jeans brand Gas is celebrating its 30th anniversary involving Moto GP champion Marc Marquez. The young champion and social media phenomenon, with more than 1.4 million Facebook fans, will be the new ambassador and face of the brand’s S/S 2014 ad campaign.
Shooting the campaign was Sergi Pons, currently one of Spain’s most established photographers. His pics portray the motorcycle racer inside his own mechanic’s workshop, while wearing some of the brand’s most iconic denim items – the Kant denim shirt and the Raul five-pocket model.
A connected media strategy will communicate the brand’s anniversary and new campaign through social media, marketing initiatives and specialized newspapers and magazines.
Gas has also renewed its partnership with the motorcycling team Repsol Honda for the 17th season. “The double investment that involves Gas and the number one motorcycle company Honda and Marc Marquez was a more than natural choice,” comments Barbara Grotto, Marketing Manager Honda. “He perfectly matches the intrinsic values of our brands as positive, authentic, courageous and determined.”
