Dree Hemingway, the daughter of actress Mariel Hemingway and the great-granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway, is the new face of Gant’s fall/winter 2013 campaign. The 25-year-old model will grace the cover and the campaign images of the Gant magazine and serve as the face of the Gant Yale Co-op Shirt Collection for women.

The limited Gant Yale Co-op Shirt Collection is based on original designs from the ’60s using button-down collars, hanging loops and pleats in the back for better movement. After the relaunch of Gant Yale Co-op Shirt for men in 2012, Gant’s creative director Christopher Bastin has now decided to create the styles for women too.

“When we noticed that our Yale shirt for men has also been bought and worn by women, we decided to create them their own one–with perfect proportions and silhouettes,” he explains. “We transferred the authentic style of the Yale Co-op shirts into the boyfriend-look with typical characteristics. There will be six styles: three plains with classic oxford white, blue and rose, two casual variants with banker-stripes and a Yale shirt with a fresh Scottish tartan. The last one is the favorite shirt of Dree Hemingway, who in my opinion perfectly expresses and embodies the Gant lifestyle. ”

The Co-op collection for women will be available from August 2013 at selected trading partners and at Gant’s own stores.
