Stockholm-based Gant AB has appointed Patrik Nilsson as new CEO, effective August 1, 2014. In this position, Nilsson will account for all global business operations of the US sportswear brand Gant. He will report directly to José Luis Duran, chairman of the board.

Prior to his new engagement, 50-year-old Nilsson has been with the Adidas Group for 23 years. Since 2007, he held the position of President of Adidas North America and since October 2013 he additionally accounted for Reebok North America.

Gant is currently present in more than 60 countries with more than 700 own stores and 4.000 retailers. In 2013, the brand registered a turnover of more than 994 million Euros.
