The GDS – global destination for shoes & accessories regards the repositioning of its trade show in July 2014 a success. Organizers, exhibitors, as well as visitors were satisfied with the outcome that offered a more spacious structure and the newly designed Studio hall.

The date for the upcoming GDS was moved to February to allow commerce to examine collections and trends for the autumn/winter 2015/16 season earlier than before.

At its February edition, GDS will host around 900 brands, categorized in its three areas Highstreet, Studio and Pop Up. Within the Studio hall (premium collections), GDS will introduce its new 'Design Trendsetter' concept, which was developed in collaboration with the Honegger agency from Milan. Here, around 20 selected high profile designers will present their collecitons.
These were selected by an expert panel, including Ernesto Esposito (who worked for Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs), Simon Collins (Dean of Fashion at Parsons - The New School for Design in New York), Veronique Branquinho (Belgian designer) as well as Kristin Deutelmoser, director of GDS and Armando Honegger, general manager of agency Honegger.

Among the 20 selected brands are Christina Martini/Nikolas Minoglou with their brand Ancient Greek Sandals, Nicole Brundage (ByBrundage), Laurence Dacade or Alain Tondowski as well as newcomers Carolin Holzhuber, Linda Sieto and Testuya.
