G-Star has created a special jeans model with Dutch men's style magazine Code. 'G-Star x Code; the Unofficial' comes out in time with the launch of Code's first German edition. The style is a revised version of the G-Star classic 'U.S. First' from 1996 and has been manufactured in a limited edition of 25 pieces. The pants are a mixture of G-Star jeans and classic men's pants, made of an 11.5oz heavy, deep blue Japanese Kuroki canvas material with strengthened seams in white-blue striped cotton. They have been handmade, numbered and signed at G-Star’s atelier in Amsterdam by the brand’s team and Code fashion director Kanako B. Koga. Koga is Japanese-born, but lives in Paris. She is renowned for her long-term work as Head of Men’s Styling at Maison Martin Margiela.

“As Kanako re-interpreted the G-Star U.S. First model with details of classic tailoring, the creativity of our studio received a strong push forward by her unexpected approach." stated Remco de Nijs, G-Star brand manager.

G-Star x Code; the Unofficial will be officially presented in Berlin tomorrow, Friday 28th of March, and all 25 pieces of the limited edition will be commercialized. Kanako B. Koga (Code) and Remco de Nijs (G-Star) will also be attending the event.
