Malte Widenka has taken over the position of Chief Technical Officer (CTO) at the German fashion online shop Frontline GmbH effective March 1, 2013.

Widenka is now responsible for the further development of Frontline’s recently relaunched web shop and heads a nine man development and administration team which will be further enlarged during the running year in order to keep up with Frontlineshop’s expansion plans. He reports directly to CEO Matthias Zillmer, who accounts for the areas of “operations and business intelligence” within the management board.

Widenka has previously been employed as software developer at the wer-weiss-was GmbH. Next to his college degree in informatics, the 37-year-old also picked up some aesthetic skills when studying at University of the Arts in Bremen.

Matthias Zillmer: "With Malte Widenka we have won over an experienced CTO. His field of tasks will not only include internal IT-services and the continuous technical development of the shop, but also the operationalization of Frontlineshop’s IT-strategy.”

With Stefan Sommer’s upcoming entry in the company as CEO at the beginning of April, Frontlineshop’s management board is now completed. Next to Sommer, Zillmer and Widenka, it is composed of Amit Sinha as CMO, Dirk Wasmund as CFO and Torsten Lange as Founder/CEO.
