American heritage brand Filson has opened a brand new world headquarters and manufacturing facility in its hometown of Seattle, Washington.

The 54,400-sq.-foot (5,017-sq.-meter) structure is a converted warehouse at 1741 First Avenue South. It includes a fully visible/transparent bag and luggage factory on the first floor, plus a showroom and headquarters.

The brand’s older factory will soon be upgraded and become a modern apparel manufacturing center.
“This expansion furthers our 116-year commitment to our customers to provide unfailing goods that allows them to do what they love in the outdoors,” said CEO Alan Kirk. “We celebrate this expansion with our customers who, thanks to their demand for our products, have allowed us to stay true to our values of local manufacturing without compromising quality.”

The brand, which began in 1897, operates one flagship each in Seattle, Portland, Oregon and London, England.
