What happens when two French institutions get together? Sleek, uncomplicated elegance. Petit Bateau, the brand that has experienced a revival thanks to the current hotness of breton stripes has teamed up with designer and fashion consultant Inès de la Fressange to create a six-piece range of products for women and kids. It is already available in Petit Bateau’s stores and online.
For women, the collection features a turtleneck sweater and a long-sleeved top whose stripes look as if they were hand-painted. Besides, there are some underwear pieces and a tote bag. All proceeds gained from the collection will be earmarked to the International Federation of Human Rights (IFHR), a non-governmental organization founded in 1922 dedicated to the protection of human rights worldwide.
"Petit Bateau is my childhood. It is a lovely brand, timeless and lasting from generation to generation. The collaboration with Petit Bateau is a marriage based on love, desires and trust. Women and girls will be pleased to wear the collection pieces and raise awareness about FIDH,” said Fressange.
Inès de la Fressange has also collaborated with other fashion brands like Uniqlo this fall.
